System Support Manual Requirements

Sustainable design is an integral part of any facility management philosophy and the System Support Manual (SSM) provides a means to reduce operating costs as part of a comprehensive Maintenance Program, which includes the Maintenance Plan.

To ensure well understood costs and expeditious delivery, the BSUBAS Subject Matter Expert (SME) ensures SSM content and format requirements are conveyed through a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) as part of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) provided to all automation vendors. The SOW should be sufficiently tailored to satisfy the System Owner's Facility Management needs, policies and procedures.

The BSUBAS SME aligns SSM requirement from the planning and design phases, following with a preliminary submittal and review during the construction phase. With a formal Support Manual slated to be complete prior to the start of the formal Functional Performance Testing (FPT) conducted during the commissioning acceptance phases of the project.
