Site BAS Automation and Controls Strategy

The BSUBAS BAS Subject Matter Expert (SME) partnering with representatives in the Site Operations, Plant Engineering & Maintenance and Capital Project Engineering identifies, develops and maintains a roadmap and strategy for automation systems upgrades across the site.

As individual projects are implemented, these facilities automation systems tie together in a coordinated & effective manner.

The BSUBAS SME role will survey the current state of the facilities automation technology in use across the site buildings, evaluate existing standards, develop a forward looking roadmap of strategic technology upgrades to advance the automation this infrastructure to an fully modern state.

The Key areas of focus are the site BAS / BMS, traditionally predominantly HVAC control, also inclusive of lighting control system technologies (now required by California Title 24), automated mechanical shade control, utility metering and sub-metering, related PLC/SCADA and similar systems.
